SIMS (Sports Injury Monitoring System)

SIMS is the premiere database application for injury management and documentation. Here are just some of the features you'll find in SIMS:

• Athletes SIMS allows you to record demographic information, addresses, emergency contacts and insurance information for your athletes.
  
• Injuries and Illnesses Record diagnoses and other injury related details such as onset and return dates, description of onset, initial SOAP note and much more.
• Injury Maintenance is where you'll record follow-up procedures such as treatments and rehab. Progress (SOAP) notes and assessments are also recorded here.
• Physician Visits gives you a way to record upcoming visits as well as those already attended.
• Activity Calendar tracks your games, practices and conditioning sessions. This allows SIMS to accurately calculate the counts of games missed and practices missed for each injury.
• Pharmaceutical Inventory allows you to track the quantity on hand of each drug, and lets you track which athletes have received them.
• Insurance Billing lets you record billing details and easily see which bills have not been paid in full.
• Reports Dozens of reports are available, such as Coach's Report and Injury Breakdown by Body Part, just to name two. Reports can be customized to include only the teams and athletes you want to see, and each can be output directly to PDF, Word, Excel and other formats.
• NCAA-ISP Certified SIMS has been Export Engine Certified by the Datalys Center for Sports Injury Research and Prevention for use with the NCAA Injury Surveillance Program.

SIMS Training Room Companion (SIMS-TRC)

AthleteConnection Services    Now available!

AthleteConnection Services allow you to download and import information entered online by your athletes. Here’s how it works, in a nutshell:

• From within SIMS, you select the type of information you want your athletes to enter online (e.g., emergency contacts, physicians, insurance policies, etc.). You can also specify links to different documents or websites you want your athletes to have access to.
• Next, provide your athletes with a link to the athleteconnection.net website, along with two codes that identify your school or organization. The athletes can be existing SIMS athletes, or new athletes not already in your database.
• Each athlete creates an account on the website and records his or her information.
• Finally, from within SIMS you review and import (or reject) the athlete entries from the website.
